EnerPlex Packr Executive is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK for light use, I wouldn't go camping with it. 1 year review, durability of the bag is questionable for what I put it through. This bag is used solely to transport my computer, cord and mouse from my car to my office and back to my car. About 4 months in, the strap started to break. Rest of the bag is fine but the straps are kinda what makes a backpack a backpack. Both straps are used but only one shows damage.Zippers are hit or miss with this bag. The one annoying zipper is the one near the solar panel. the fact that it zips up, I always find it open so nothing goes in that pocket in fear it's going to fall out. The back zipper for the back large 3 divider compartment gets hung up at the curves of the bag up top.

does the charger only work when it is directly in the sun or does it store any power for later?

Asked by: skollas
Thanks for your inquiry! Solar panels are not batteries and are unable to hold any power for later. They are great when paired with our Jumpr series of rechargeable batteries, however, to get this same functionality.

Would this charge a small tablet, like a Kindle Fire?  Also, does it only work in direct sunlight without batteries?

Asked by: Calypsoreid
Thank you for your inquiry! There should not be an issue charging a small tablet, however, you may want to power down the tablet while charging unless intending the tablet to be trickle-charged.Solar panels are not able to store power for later use, so in order to use it to power devices, it does need to be in sunlight (we recommend outdoors in direct sunlight, angled toward the sun for best performance). You can also consider pairing the Packr with one of our Jumpr series of rechargeable batteries! Just keep the Jumpr plugged in to the Packr to gather power from the sun when available, then use the Jumpr whenever you need power.

Will this charge Apple 6 Plus?

Asked by: Terminator
Yes, this is compatible with the Apple 6 Plus! As with all Apple devices, an "unsupported accessory" error will be given any time the voltage drops due to partial or full shading of the panel. For best performance, use outside angled toward direct sunlight in an area with no sunlight interruptions.

Will this back pack Charge my IPhone 5s?

Asked by: Gavin23
Yes, the Packrs are able to charge iPhones! For best performance, use the solar panel in direct sunlight (not through a window), ensure that no shade covers any portion of the panel, and angle the panel toward the sun.

Is there any chance that I could use this to say charge my Macbook pro?  What all devices can this charge/support?

Asked by: nanosect
The solar panel on the backpack does not provide enough power to charge a laptop. A panel this size is able to charge non-Apple phones or other USB-powered devices which will accept 0.6amp input, such as our Jumpr portable batteries.

What is the difference between this and the Commuter bag?

Asked by: Shelly
This bag has a slightly more "square" look to it, doesn't have water bottle holders, but includes more pockets inside for supplies. We consider this bag to be a little more "business oriented" while the Commuter is better for students and outdoors people
